Looking for a place to talk with other adults? Need a computer to use? Like to read?

Come and visit the Peace Center mornings Monday through Friday. We have books (including those on spirituality) by a variety of authors, computers for your use and good conversation.

Monthly Social Luncheon and Activity

Senior citizens are invited to join us twice a month for bingo.  All are held on Wednesdays.  The first bingo of the month we have regular bingo form 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.  The second bingo is a delicious meal prepared by one of our Dominican Associates, bingo and a $50 gift card drawing.

The Peace Center is blessed with volunteers from financial and legal professions. Stop by for referrals and free assistance.

Computer Education 

Are computers a mystery to you? We can help you acquire basic computer skills to help you succeed. Just learning computer basics will help you with

  • Shopping
  • Budgeting
  • Research
  • Job hunting and resume creation
  • Business forms

The Peace Center offers three different computer-based courses:

  1. Introduction to Computers
  2. Microsoft Word
  3. Microsoft Excel

Classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10am-noon, with each unit lasting about six weeks.

*There is no charge for these classes.

Individual Mental Health Counseling

Spiritual Direction

How is God active in your life? Where is God leading you? How do you hear God speaking to you?

Engage these and other questions through the Christian practice known as “spiritual direction.” Accompanied by a trained spiritual guide, take this opportunity to share your spiritual journey with God and reflect on where God may be leading you.

Sr. Suzanne Brauer, who is a trained spiritual director, would be happy to talk with you. To make an appointment, call Sr. Suzanne at (504) 267-3342. Sessions typically last about an hour.
